Erica Louise DeRemer

I’m an operations and people leader, educator, licensed funeral director and embalmer, lifelong horsewoman, and brand builder with a career rooted in high-trust, high-stakes, deeply human work. Over the years, my professional path has crossed funeral service, cremation and end-of-life operations, marketing and growth strategy, workforce development, education, and executive HR leadership. While those areas may look different on paper, the work has always centered on the same core questions: how trust is built, how people respond under pressure, what creates meaningful experiences, and what it takes to lead and live in alignment with what actually matters. That same thread now continues through Erica Louise Brands, the parent brand behind my speaking, writing, workshops, and equine-centered experiences. Through Erica Louise Brands, I am building work centered on alignment, trust, connection, meaningful living, and the lessons we can learn when we slow down long enough to pay attention. My work brings together two worlds that have shaped me deeply: more than 20 years in funeral service, where I have seen firsthand what people regret, remember, and treasure at the end of life, and more than 30 years in the horse industry, where horses have taught me the value of consistency, presence, pressure, release, trust, and honest leadership.
